Comment The most basic health principles often overlooked by most individuals is consuming a diet of wholesome nutritional food sources rather than opting for unhealthy processed foods. Keep in mind that processed and fast foods are usually of very low nutritional value and loaded with sugar, salt, fats, and unhealthy calories that increase your insulin levels, which not only increases the aging process, but also increases the risk of obesity and various chronic diseases.

It is also recommended where possible to avoid consuming genetically modified (GM) foods. Not only are GM foods lower in nutritional value than organically grown foods, but they may also pose unforeseen health risks. In fact, most fast food or processed foods today contain GM ingredients despite of the fact that these GM constituents have not undergone sufficient long term safety studies.
